Ledaal Park

A groomed park well-suited for photography.

The royal residence Ledaal is surrounded by a beautiful park.

After Stavanger Museum assumed responsibility for Ledaal, the park facility from the 1940s was largely restored to its original a French Baroque-style garden with straight lines, a dominant central axis and strong symmetry. The beautiful old trees were however retained. The garden’s restoration went hand-in-hand with the project of restoring the house and its interior to how they looked around 1850. The park is now a heritage-listed site.

The park is open to the public year-round.

The park is well-suited for photographing wedding parties and the like.
